Shutters are painted using an airless sprayer or fine-bristle brush to ensure a smooth, factory-like finish without visible strokes. The process begins with a light mist coat, allowing the paint to bond properly before building up coverage with two uniform topcoats. Special care is taken to back-brush louvers if necessary, preventing excess buildup in recessed areas. For wood shutters, a UV-resistant paint or stain is used to combat fading, while metal shutters receive a direct-to-metal (DTM) coating for corrosion resistance. Edges and hinge areas are finished meticulously to maintain crisp lines and seamless integration with the exterior.
