For Crews · Contractors and trades in California

Real projects.
Clear scopes.
One app for the build.

Parrotones brings you renovation projects that a Renovation Specialist has already scoped, with customers who are ready to build. You bid the same Scope as every other Crew, sign in the app and run the job in Renovation Hub, with a Specialist on your side. Joining is free.

One word for every contractor

You're a contractor. Here, you're a Crew.

Big company or one-person shop, everyone who builds with us is called a Crew.

Independent contractor

You run the job yourself, alone or with a few helpers.

Specialty trade company

One trade, done well: tile, plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting and more.

General building company

You lead whole-home remodels, ADUs and commercial build-outs.

Small crew

A foreman and a team that works together from job to job.

On Parrotones, all of them are a Crew

Same Scope, same tools and same rules for every Crew, whatever its size. A Crew is an independent business: you set your prices, hire your people and decide how to do the work. Parrotones is not a contractor and not your employer. We bring the project and the app.

What you get

What Parrotones gives your Crew

We bring the project, the Scope and the tools. You bring the craft.

We are not a lead site that sells the same customer to five contractors, and we are not a contractor. A Renovation Specialist meets the customer, writes the Scope of Work and stays on the project until the final walkthrough. You get a clear job and the room to do it well.

Invitations in your trades

Offers come for the trades and areas you choose. No cold calls and no chasing free estimates.

A Scope written for you

Every offer comes with a Scope of Work, line by line, with photos and notes from the visit.

Customers ready to build

They paid for the Scope and plan a project of $10,000 or more, here in California.

Contract and payment stages

You sign with the customer in the app. The payment stages follow the work and come with the contract.

Materials in one list

What the customer chose, what to buy and what is supplied, tied to each task. Print it as a shopping list.

Changes in writing

Found something behind the wall? Your Specialist writes a change order, and the customer approves it in the app before the extra work starts.

One chat with the customer

Messages, photos, files and calls for each project in one place, not in your personal texts.

A Specialist and a hotline

Your Specialist answers questions on the job. The Renovation Crew Hotline (888) 383-2221 is one number for everything.

Help when a job goes sideways

The Scope, the contract, the chat and your reports are a written record. If there is a disagreement, your Specialist helps both sides find a solution.

Free to join and to get vetted. You don't buy leads.
Honest prices

The customer sees your price

Our mission is a renovation that is fair and clear for both sides.

What we promise

Your price, as you wrote it

We show the customer the price you bid, line by line. No markup, no commission and no hidden fees on top. Every Crew bids the same Scope, so you win on your work and your price, not on who explains the job better.

Example bid · kitchen remodel
  • Demolition and haul-away $2,400
  • Cabinets, installed $6,800
  • Tile backsplash $1,900

What we ask of every Crew

Work the customer can see

Honest prices need an open job. That is why we expect three things from every Crew:

On fixed-price projects, returned leftovers turn into Reward Points for your customer through Waste-Free Rewards, and your Crew earns the Waste-Free Crew badge.

Vetting

More documents, more projects

Get accepted to bid. Get vetted to bid with proof.

From Accepted to Vetted

Every Crew starts with an application. An Accepted Crew can already bid on Parrotones projects. A Vetted Crew bids with proof: we check the license and insurance, look at real work, read reviews and meet the team. Homeowners see the Vetted badge next to your name.

What your documents open

Customers can ask for licensed, insured or bonded Crews only. Each document you add puts you in front of more projects.

Accepted Crew
Projects open to every Crew
+ CSLB license
+ projects for licensed Crews only
+ Liability insurance
+ projects for insured Crews only
+ Bond
+ projects for bonded Crews only

If the law requires a license for your work, you need it anyway. We check it on the public CSLB records and again when it expires.

We promote your company’s brand next to whatever marketing you already do. Your own website, reviews and referrals keep working; we add customers who are looking for a Crew like yours.

A landing page for your Crew

Your portfolio, reviews from verified projects and a request form, on a page we build for you.

Mentions and ads

We mention your Crew in our content and in our ads, next to the projects you built.

Your work in our media

Finished projects shown in our posts, videos and on parrotones.com, with your Crew name on them.

In the Crews directory

Homeowners find Crews by trade in the Parrotones Crews directory.

Parrotones crew name: Vivid Phoenix

Your bird name is one part of it

Every Crew gets a bird name, like Vivid Phoenix: easy to remember, and it keeps your personal accounts private. Customers reach you through Parrotones, so there are no spam calls.

We have options to promote your Crew more actively. Contact us for the terms, or call the Renovation Crew Hotline at (888) 383-2221.

Questions Crews ask

Yes. Creating a Crew account and getting vetted are free. You don’t buy leads.

Yes. Crews of every size are welcome: independent tradespeople, small crews, specialty trade companies and general building companies. On Parrotones, all of them are called Crews.

If the law requires a license for the work you do, yes. We check its status on the public CSLB records and again when it expires. A license, insurance and a bond also open the projects whose customers asked for licensed, insured or bonded Crews only.

Pick your trades and areas in your profile. When a Specialist finishes a Scope that fits, the offer lands in your Bid inbox in Renovation Hub. Accepted Crews can bid; vetting adds the badge.

You set your price. We show it to the customer as you wrote it, with no markup and no commission. The customer pays your Crew directly under your contract.

They keep the job open for everyone. A daily report with photos shows the customer what was done, and receipts show what was bought. On fixed-price projects, returned leftovers become Reward Points for the customer through Waste-Free Rewards.

Tell your Specialist in the project chat. The change becomes a written change order, and the customer approves it in the app before the extra work starts.

Your Specialist helps both sides talk and proposes a solution, based on the Scope, the contract, the chat and your reports. Specialists are not arbitrators: if that does not settle it, the next step is mediation. Details are in the Terms for Crews.

We build your Crew landing page, list you in the Crews directory, mention you in our content and ads, and show your finished work in our media. For active promotion options, contact us.
